Isla Ometepe - this volcanic island smack in the middle of lake nicaragua is just gorgeous
A womans work is just never done!!
Climbed Volcan Conception, the larger of the two volcanoes on the island and at 1680m it just soars into the heavens.
We tramped up in 35deg heat through tropical dry forest in complete cloud cover, with howler monkeys just feet away squaking merrily.
No views from the top as it remained in cloud but the wind was howling and we teetered up to the lip to look into the crater careful not to let the wind push us in.
The rock at the top was so hot it hurt to even sit on.
Sweaty hikers on the way down..
