Travelog March - June 2001
Flew into Cancun - and got on the first bus south to Playa!
Playa Del Carmen - this place has gotten so expensive since jurdie and myself were here a few years ago, but our favourite taco man is still there (and the chili sauce still burns both ways!!)
Cayes Caulkner - this is a tropical paradise 30km off Belize City, speedy launch takes you there in no time.
Here is the view from our beach front hotel room.
The reef (2nd longest in the world!!) is 2km off the shore of this island.
The snorkelling on the reef is great, we swam with sting rays and these nurse sharks.. woohoo..
